Excellent quick street taco/torta/mulitas fix. For the small set up that this mini street kitchen is.. it's really pumping out premier plates with excellent flavors and options for cooked protein. My girl and I came here after a few drinks downtown and there was at least a line of 20 or people but It moved pretty quick! Their team worked like butter and were friendly in the process. The plates come out made to order and served almost immediately!! So juicy and tastes like a sweet reminder of why i love my culture so much. Their sauces and condiments were plentiful with veggies and sauce options. It was a perfect curb dining experience after a night out. Popular gem but very well earned for their fast and great price value of their tasty food!

We got 3 Al pastor tacos with pineapple, 2 cabeza tacos, 1 tripa taco, 1 lengua mulita, 1 asada quesadilla. I really liked the mulita with cheese. Pastor is always good but what surprised me was the tripa, probably my favorite. Prices and food were perfect. The sides were also a highlight. The regular toppings but also cactus, grilled onion, habanero (so spicy).

LFG!!!!!!! All this food for $20? We are obsessed. Moved here a couple weeks ago and have already been multiple times. The Al pastor burrito is a MUST and the carne asada tacos were our favorite. Get here around 5:45 to avoid the crazy long line. Worth the wait IMO and don't forget cash! The music and vibes are all you could ever want or need from a street taco vendor. Just writing this review makes me want to go again asap! Super well priced and so good!

I heard about the hype to check out Brothers Cousins Tacos. A burrito for $9? Count me in! While driving there, it was easy to locate them by just noticing the long line of people. At first I thought it was a food truck, but they were under a canopy. I ordered a regular burrito with an option of rice and cheese. First they add the meat, cheese, and rice. My wife and I were confused when they handed to us. We were told to add any toppings and sauce (similar to a buffet or salad bar). No wonder the line moved pretty slow. After you made your choice you hand it back to them to fold the burrito. At the end, you can order drinks (ex. Horchata). The new experience was nice. Was it worth the wait in line? Not really. Tip: While in line, make sure to put the sauces on the side by placing them in the small containers provided instead of inside the burrito. I learned by mistake by adding the mild sauce in the burrito and there wasn't much flavor. I wish I packed up spicy sauces on the side just in case. When eating a burrito, I rather add sauce while taking every bite. Also when ordering tacos or al pastor, they don't add the sauce so you must prepare them in containers to go. Also, I don't like when the meat was chopped minced. I rather have my meat cut thick inside the burrito to taste the tenderness. Well lesson learned. On the bright side, less pricey for a large burrito (much larger than most super burrito), the horchata was delicious and staff done a wonderful job!

Wow the best taco stand with great food and good vibes! There may be better elsewhere but I don't feel like trying them all because I like how consistent Brothers cousins is. I seriously went here 4 nights in a row. There are two locations. They opened a new location like 2 min away on Sepulvada. Just go there because not as much of a line and the taste is the same. Otherwise for the original location on Sawtelle, you're looking at a 40 min wait on a random Tuesday night. I'm not too big of a fan of burritos. My favorite thing to get here are the mulitas. You get chewy cheese and your favorite types of meat! The best meat (I've tried them all including the weird ones like tongue and head) are asada, al pastor, and the tripe. They cook these very crispy with burnt end like gristle. I love that. They provide a generous bar of toppings like limes, onions, and cilantro plus vegetables like onion and cactus. The horchata isn't very good and the Jamaica is really sweet so I don't necessarily recommend the drinks. The price is really good too, a whole filling dinner for $10-15!

11/10 - everything on the god damn menu There are a few places I rave about on a frequent basis and this is one of them. Honestly, a little surprised I took this long to review this place, but brothers cousins is an absolute must everytime I am in the Sawtelle area. The first time my roommates and I tried this place was prior to it blowing up on tiktok and we all were in agreement it was the best Mexican food we had ever had. Despite the much longer wait times now the quality has still yet to go downhill which is a huge plus. The service is super friendly and self explanatory, order what you want, put your toppings on and they will take care of the rest. Music is always a vibe and the energy of the workers is great. Honestly don't have a single bad thing to say about this place other than I wish the wait times were shorter.

So worth the hype. Visiting a friend in LA, and she made sure to take me here as an introduction to the Mexican food scene here. The line gets pretty long, but these guys have it down so it goes quickly. They have fun music playing while waiting! Lots of customizability while ordering, decent burrito prices and great taco prices ($2!). We ordered a Al pastor burrito, HEFTY portion of meat (although I wish there were was more cheese). They give the burrito to you open faced so you can add toppings yourself, and you hand back the burrito for them to wrap. Horchata was delish, salsas were delish, grilled veggies were delish.

There's a lot of hype around this taco stand and honestly, I would say it's a little too much. The food is very delicious, but significantly better than other stands? Not so much. We came around 11 pm on a Friday and there was plenty of parking. There were 2 other stands at the corner and they had no customers. A long line was waiting for Brothers Cousins tacos. We waited about 10-15 minutes before placing our order, which was ready within minutes. My boyfriend got a carne asada torta and I got 3 al pastor tacos and 1 chorizo taco. Prices were super cheap and the torta was huge! They had all the condiments ready. I always like grabbing the cooked onions, cucumber, radish, lime and salsas. We ate on their little stools on the sidewalk. Honestly, very delicious! But I wouldn't go out of my way to wait in their long line especially if you already have a more convenient and yummy location. I'll give that they have a lot of options like the torta, but I'd only stop by again if it was on the way or when there is not such a long line.

Based on Yelp reviews, we had to give Brothers Cousins Tacos a try. Long lines but well worth the wait. Food is absolutely amazing and delicious. Ambiance is street food yet very clean and appealing. Brothers Cousins Tacos is a must try !!!
